An 18 month old boy drowned in a swimming pool in Cape Coral, Fl. and was found by a family member. Yet another tragic death of a child that should have been avoided. These deaths are not uncommon here in Lee County and Southwest Florida in general though that should be the case. With the development of excellent safety fences in the past ten(10) years , there is no good reason for this type of needless loss of life.We hope that all parents take seriously the dangers presented by pools to infants and young children.
