Man Killed in Fort Myers Car Crash Identified

According to the Florida highway Patrol, a 29-year-old Lehigh Acres woman was identified as the pedestrian that was killed in a car accident last night.

Heidi M. Thacker was hit by a car on Monday night while walking north on Bass Road. The fist car swerved to avoid hitting Thacker, who was walking in the road, but ended up hitting her. Another car that had breaked to avoid the accident, ran her over, trapping her beneath the car. According to FHP reports, she died at the scene.
